    This is a physical role which includes the following responsibilities :-

    • Stock management proactive checks of high volume and/or long lead time items inspecting and unloading inwards goods ensuring stores computer records accurately reflect store holdings
    • preparation of equipment for collection by our operations crews
    • yard duties, loading/unloading poles, cables etc
    • assist with making the stores environment a clean, tidy, functional and professional operation

  • Arborist

    • Provide vegetation control services from conflict with overhead power lines and structures

    • Work as a team ensuring the safety of yourself, work colleagues and the general public

    This role will suit someone with all or some following background/experience/qualities:

    • A level 4 Arborist qualification with a focus on safety and quality
    • 5+ years of Arborist experience
    • Basic Utility experience is preferred but not essential
    • Positive role model of health and safety practices
    • Current NZ Driver's License

  • Faultsman - Timaru

    Based in Timaru, South Canterbury, we have an opportunity for an experienced Faultsman to join our Faults team providing routine and on call response to events, crises and emergencies in the Alpine Network.

    What’s involved:

    • You may be the first person on-site in difficult situations, which requires a calm response and communication with Emergency Services, Alpine Network Control and Alpine Energy Ltd (NETcon) leadership.
    • Routine and emergency location and repair of faults.
    • Rostered stand-by for 24/7 fault response
    • Resolve issues and challenges on-site in varied locations and weather conditions
    • Install replace and maintain overhead electricity distribution equipment, including transformers, fuses, switches, circuit breakers, conductors, insulators, terminations and connections etc.
    • Be a positive role model of health and safety practices.
    • Perform network switching as directed and authorised.
    • Carry out metering and retail service work.
    • Work as a team ensuring the safety of yourself, work colleagues and the general public.
